I grew up in Kansas and have loved art since I was a child. I studied graphic design in college and worked for several years in that field. I returned to school and received a masters degree in another field.
Since moving to Wisconsin I’ve been able to enjoy pursuing my love of art. I started as a portrait artist and have accepted commissions from all across the country. I also love the outdoors, and the natural beauty of Door County and northern Wisconsin has inspired me to create landscapes that reflect that beauty. I strive to use color and movement to direct the viewer through the painting. I encourage the viewer to slow down and immerse themselves in the otherworldly beauty of everyday nature.
I primarily work in oils and soft pastels and love working in both mediums for different reasons. I have studied with nationally recognized artists such as Robert Liberace and Margaret Dyer. I was a studio artist at The Art Garage in Green Bay and participated in the their “Face It” project for two years. I have also shown my work in Charlene’s Gallery Ten in Gills Rock, and participated in the Heart community project in Green Bay and The Hardy Gallery Community Mosaic project.
I achieved meritorious standing in the 2023 Richeson 75 Landscape, Seascape, and Architecture international competition.
