Mac Schueppert

Margaret (Mac) Schueppert received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alverno College in 1971.  Away from the art world she focused on raising a family for the next 30 years.  After moving to Door County Wisconsin in 2003, she returned to making art rediscovering her love of soft pastels.

Initially a plein air painter, her time is now devoted to studio work which allows for larger more experimental work in a controlled setting.

Mac has studied with nationally recognized artists Colette Odya Smith,  W Truman Hosner, Marla Bagetta, Christine Debrosky, and Nancie King Mertz.

Her work is in hospital and private collections throughout the United States, the Teaching Collection of the Trout Museum of Art, Appleton Wisconsin, and the Permanent Collection of the Miller Art Museum, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

She holds memberships in Wisconsin Pastel Artists, the Great Lakes Pastel Society, and Pastel Society of America.
