Phyllis Deicher-Ladwig is a freelance photographer based in east central Wisconsin. She discovered her love of photography while watching slide shows in her family living room growing up. She realized that capturing candid moments of family and friends brought laughter and stories to tell. She used those experiences to capture candid moments through her extensive travels and street photography and has expanded into architecture and nature photography. Phyllis served on the Board of Directors and Exhibitions Committee for Coalition of Photographic Arts, (CoPA). She is a member of Wisconsin Visual Artists and has been juried into two Biennials, 2022 and 2024, with WVA at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend, WI. She is also a member of Photo Midwest and was juried into PhotoMidwest Biennial 2022 in Madison, WI. Phyllis has exhibited her work in galleries in Milwaukee and surrounding areas including Var Gallery, Walkers Point, No Studios in Milwaukee, Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, and Miller Gallery in Sturgeon Bay, WI. She has also exhibited in galleries at Alex Ferrone Gallery in Cutchogue, New York.
