I am a graduated of Layton School of Art with a BFA degree and a Vietnam Veteran. Oil painting has been a passion since I was a young boy however, to make a living, I was an Industrial Design major at Layton. While attending Layton, I was employed as an industrial designer at the Brooks Stevens Industrial Design Firm in Milwaukee. Designing boats, cars  architecture and other commercial products using the same skill sets I use today as a fine art oil painter. Being a year round Fish Creek resident, and an avid plein air oil painter, you’ll find me along the many Door County country back roads and shorelines plein air painting scenes like this wonderful old fish tug Betty.
