The Clearing is a folk school for adults, offering classes in the arts, fine crafts, humanities and natural sciences in a quiet, secluded, inspirational setting. It was founded in 1935 by renowned landscape architect and conservationist, Jens Jensen, and is on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.
