The Exquisite Corpse: Head to Toe and End to End included printmaking, works on paper, and creative writing. Participants were asked to make work based on the surrealist concept known as The Exquisite Corpse—a “blind collaboration,” where components of what will become a larger work are produced separately by participants, without being able to see what others have produced before being displayed together. Printmakers from Door County and around the state produced sections of the human body to make “corpses” organized by artist Christine Style. In addition, visual 2D artists from Door County made work for End-to-End, a work made up of 23 individual works, connected together as one large seamless work, and local poets from Write on Door County collaborated to make a series of poetry.
