Are you looking for a great way to engage with your community, share your skills and interact with local artists? How about volunteering at the Hardy!
The operation of our organization is shaped by volunteers like you who participate in the installation of our exhibits, interact with visitors and support our staff. Our volunteer coordinator will work with you directly to make you feel welcome, introduce you to our organization and most importantly, identify opportunities that will best utilize your skills and talents.

Our docent training program provides volunteers with the knowledge and tools necessary to welcome, engage and inform visitors and departs from traditional museum programs that require rigorous, extensive training due to the seasonality and frequency of rotating exhibits. Our program includes specific training (an introduction to the exhibit, art materials and processes; behind the scenes discussions with artists and staff), social outings and a visual arts enrichment program – each customized to suit your needs and interests!
We use several web-based tools to communicate with our volunteers. Please use the links below to access information for your volunteer assignment.
Volgistics is our volunteer management system. It has two modules. VicTouch is the on-site component where you sign in and out for your volunteer shift; VicNet is the web-based module where you can:
• Update your contact information
• Check your schedule
• Sign up for shifts
• View your service record
